[edit] Plot

The following text is from the game's instruction manual:

The year is 2525. The United Nations are the target for a major covert attack by terrorists. Their devious intentions are to destabilize defense systems and to overthrow the allied governments. This covert action is the evil demise of the international terrorist known as "X".
The CIA has just received information which indicates that "X" is near completion of an ultimate war weapon which will enable him to begin his attack. The CIA has sent out their best agents in order to undermine his criminal espionage but all have failed. Finally, they call upon rookie agent Rachel (Code HE03) who has been specially trained in international espionage. Much time passes and she has not yet returned. For fear that "X" has her in his evil grasp, the CIA calls on an unofficial agent in a last desperate attempt to save the world from utter chaos. This agent's code name is SSH "Super Spy Hunter".

[edit] Weapons/Items

Weapons and powerups are obtained by destroying red and blue weapons vehicles. Red weapons vehicles give weapon powerups, and blue vehicles give special bonus or single-use items. The different items are denoted by the letter on the powerup.

Red Vehicles Red weapons vehicles drop the following items:

  • P - Power Up
Increases attack power of your car's cannon. The car's weapon can be upgraded 5 times, and the plane's weapon can be upgraded 6 times.
    R - Rapid Fire
Increases attack speed. Can be upgraded 3 times for the car, 4 times for the plane.
    C - Computer
Gives your car's aimable cannons automatic aiming capability. If this powerup is picked up twice, your car's cannon will revert to manual aiming again. This powerup will also toggle the plane's weapon between super missile and homing missile.
    L - Life Up
Increases your total life gauge by 4 (if not already max) and refills all your life.

Blue Vehicles Blue weapons vehicles drop the following items:

  • O - Oil Slick
Drops oil slicks behind your car for a short time. Will destroy any vehicle (including aircraft) that touches it.
    T - Tire Slasher
Spikes protrude from the wheels of your car, destroying any vehicles on either side. Also prevents you from being hurt when colliding with the left and right road barriers.
    G - Autonomous Cannon
The car's cannon detaches from the car and flies around destroying all enemies on screen.
    B - Super Bomb
Destroys everything on the screen (excluding bosses).
    1UP - 1 Up
    Additional Life.
    L - Life Up
Refills 4 of your life bars.

The Oil Slick, Tire Slasher, Autonomous Cannon and Super Bomb must be activated by pressing the A button.
