Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is a game featured on the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2 consoles, featuring more stages than any Monkey Ball game before it. The game includes 114 levels from the original Super Monkey Ball, 149 from Super Monkey Ball 2, plus an additional 47 exclusive boards made specifically for the Super Monkey Ball Deluxe edition, making a total of 300 levels. Every level is named after its background (e.g. level 2 volcanic magma).

It includes twelve mini-games taken from its predecessors: Race, Fight, Target, Billiards, Bowling, Golf, Boat, Shot, Dogfight, Soccer, Baseball and Tennis. The Dole advertisements from the GameCube originals are not included in this game and are removed from Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 levels. Fans cite also that both the Xbox and PS2 versions of this game are not as good as the GameCube originals due to the control pads of both systems not controlling the game as well as the GameCube pad. This is seen by some as bad programming rather than any fault of the pads themselves. However others claim it is the fault of the PS2 and Xbox pads not having as high quality analog sticks as the GameCube controllers. Despite these criticisms, Deluxe was just as successful as the GameCube originals, and received the Greatest Hits (Playstation 2) and Platinum Hits (Xbox) treatments.
