Super Adventure Rockman is an interactive movie game and prime spin-off for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation in the classic Mega Man series of video games from Capcom. It was only released in Japan.

[edit] Story

Dr. Wily has uncovered an ancient alien supercomputer hidden in the ruins of the Amazon, which he uses to revive his various Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 and 3. The ruins are also somehow capable of ceasing almost all the machinery and electricity in the world, also causing deleterious effects on robots.

Roll is quickly affected, so Dr. Light immunizes Mega Man and his brothers, and sends them to stop Dr. Wily before it's too late.

The game alternates between animated cutscenes, making decisions from a list of text options, and fighting in a first-person shooter mode.

This game's plot is most likely to be considered a side story meshing somewhere in the continuity in the Megaman/Rockman classic, main storyline universe, because it does not advance the plot significantly enough to be considered a direct sequel, although it still follows the same basic principles, and does not conflict with any pre-existing occurrence. It also uses robots from all games from Mega Man to Mega Man 5, though as stated, only Robots Masters from the first three games, further confusing its place in the series timeline.
