- Steve Regal defeated Brad Rheingans to retain the AWA Light Heavyweight Championship
- Little Tokyo defeated Little Mr. T
- Sherri Martel defeated Candy Divine to regain the AWA World Women's Championship
- Mil Máscaras defeated Buddy Roberts
- Jumbo Tsuruta, Giant Baba, & Genichiro Tenryu defeated Harley Race, Bill Irwin & Scott Irwin
- Kerry Von Erich defeated Jimmy Garvin to retain the WCCW Texas Championship
- Krusher Khruschev, Ivan Koloff and Nikita Koloff defeated Crusher, Dick the Bruiser and Baron Von Raschke
- Sgt. Slaughter defeated Boris Zukhov by disqualification to retain the AWA America's Championship
- Jerry Blackwell defeated Kamala in a "bodyslam" match

- The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy) via disqualification to retain the AWA Tag Team Championship. The Fabulous Freebirds had actually won by pinfall, due to illegal interference by Michael Hayes; however Verne Gagne intervened and by virtue of the instant replay rule gave back the victory and the titles to the Road Warriors
- Rick Martel fought Stan Hansen to a double disqualification to retain the AWA World Heavyweight Championship
- Ric Flair defeated Magnum T.A. to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship
- This card was one of the co-promotional efforts by the NWA and AWA to attempt and compete with the WWF's increasing national popularity.

SuperClash III was held on December 13, 1988 from the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. It was the third annual SuperClash event produced by the American Wrestling Association and the first and only AWA show to be broadcast on pay-per-view. The Texas-based World Class Wrestling Association, women wrestling promotion Powerful Women of Wrestling, and Memphis-based Championship Wrestling Association also provided talent for the show.
The show was not a financial success and soon after the WCWA was bought out by Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett and merged with the CWA to become the United States Wrestling Association (USWA).
The PPV was built around talent from the AWA, WCWA, POWW, CWA and others.
- Chavo Guerrero, Mando Guerrero, and Hector Guerrero defeated Cactus Jack and The Rock 'n' Roll RPMs (Mike Davis and Tommy Lane) (6:35)[1]
- Chavo pinned Lane after a moonsault.
- Eric Embry defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the WCWA World Light Heavyweight Championship (4:13)[1]
- Embry pinned Jarrett.
- Jimmy Valiant defeated Wayne Bloom (0:24)[1]
- Valiant pinned Bloom.
- Iceman King Parsons defeated Brickhouse Brown to retain the WCWA Texas Heavyweight Championship (5:41)[1]

- Sgt. Slaughter and Col. DeBeers went to a "No Contest" in a Boot Camp match[1]
- After the match The Iron Sheik attacked Slaughter.
- The Samoan Swat Team (Samu and Fatu) (w/Buddy Roberts) defeated Michael Hayes and Steve Cox to retain the WCWA World Tag Team Championship (7:53)[1]
- Samu pinned Hayes.
- Wahoo McDaniel defeated Manny Fernandez in a Indian Strap match (7:48)[1]
- AWA World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lawler defeated WCWA World Heavyweight Champion Kerry Von Erich in a Title Unification match (18:53)[1]
- Referee Marty Miller stopped the match due to Von Erich's excessive bleeding.
- This match was to unify the AWA and WCCW Titles.
- The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) fought The Stud Stable (Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden) to a double disqualification (7:03)[1]
