Super Tornado is an episode of Perfect Disaster on the Discovery Channel that takes place in Dallas, Texas. An ordinary day downtown turns deadly when a powerful storm system forms and spawns the theoretical F6 tornado.
Starting on a warm (probably Autumn) day, an outbreak of heat occurs in Mexico, resulting in a heat wave with moisturize heading up into the United States of America from the Gulf of Mexico. Cold, dry air from the Rocky Mountains will soon come in contact with the warm, moist air from the south - forming several 'Supercell' which can spawn tornadoes. In this episode, several tornadoes are made from several 'Supercell' which hit the Texas area... mainly Dallas.
An F6 tornado is an incredible tornado with incredible damage. Houses and business's are thrown from their foundations to locations miles (and miles) away. Car-sized missiles are thrown into buildings. Trees are rooted up out of the ground and thrown into the sky, landing on cars, houses, buildings, roads, and even into water-sources miles away. Small sticks and twigs can become bullets, smashing into windows and buildings in Dallas, also known as the City of Glass. "It has been known for small branches to be thrown into a building, going past several walls before coming to a stop." Debris can stay in the air up to an hour before it lands on the ground, and so people mistake the weather when the tornado ends - as they can be hit from everything that tornado had sucked up.
A family, consisting of two parents and their young, lives in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. The mother is away on a business meeting, coming to Dallas to pick up her young son from boy scouts, which her husband is dropping her son off at a gym. However, Scouts was closed due to stormy weather, and so the son is left alone in the gym with a custodian. The father works at the Emergency Weather Center of Dallas, two stories below the Dallas Meeting Hall. Several storms had occurred during the day, and Dallas was experiencing much more than it expected. Waterspouts, formed miles away, were sucking up fish and objects in the lakes/ponds they were formed in, placing the fish and objects into the air. When the Waterspout disappeared, the fish landed on the ground. Although this is rare, it could still happen.
On the plane, the mother experienced disturbing turbulence with the Microburst section of the sky. Microbursts can cause a lot of damage to houses below, but incredible damage to aircraft. Fortunately, the mother survives the quick microburst and lands safely, and drives to pick up her son. After picking up her son, the car and the surrounding area is hit with "grape-sized hailstones", which could cause immense damage. "Many Dallas residents, when hit with even pea-sized hail, will freak and fear will fill them." Walking to a local gas station, the mother, son, and a gas-station-worker are hit with a small tornado that destroys the roof of the gas station, and destroys the mother and sons vehicle. They must now use the workers truck to head to Dallas.
In Dallas, the stadium is crunched into pieces by the newly formed F6 Tornado that used up the old supercells energy to become the super tornado. The father now runs to save his family, which are out of gas in the truck. Saving them, the family rushes to their suburban household and climbs into the "safe room", where 8 inches of concrete protect them. Surviving the tornado, the family looks outside to complete horror. The City of Glass has been destroyed, and it will take generations to fix it.
