[edit] Summary
Using fast-moving objects such as those in "inch worms" allows for extreme speed and height. Reaching and exceeding 999 mph is easily possible once the trick is learned (advanced stage 8 allows it with great ease, but the similar world 2-8 does not). This shows the general interface of the main game in practice mode. Not all stages, even similar ones with different backgrounds, will allow for this.

Description |
A screenshot showing the general user interface of practice mode in Super Monkey Ball 2. A stunt has been performed where, especially in this level where it's the easiest to do, the speed goes beyond the 999 mph display limit. |
Source |
A still frame taken from a self-recorded video of ulillillia's game play while playing the actual game |
Article | |
Portion used |
The enemies, objects, level design, and other game elements, including the monkeys themselves |
Low resolution? |
Somewhat - lossy compression used 3 times (MPEG-2 (from GameBridge), XviD (3.5 quant), and JPG (quality 80)); resizing and static are also applied distorting it quite a bit |
Purpose of use |
To show what the game's general looks and interface are like, the main game's practice mode in particular. |
Replaceable? |
No known free equivalents are available - the game itself is copyrighted |
Other information | The static is due to using a coaxial cable which rarely gives a crystal clear picture |
This image became an orphan as it was removed from the article it was used with, but without it, the article doesn't have any screenshots of the main game, only for one of the minigames.
[edit] Licensing
This is a screenshot of a non-free copyrighted video or computer game, and the copyright for it is most likely held by the company or person that developed the game. It is believed that the use of a limited number of web-resolution screenshots
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law, as such display does not significantly impede the right of the copyright holder to sell the copyrighted material, is not being used to generate profit in this context, and presents ideas that cannot be exhibited otherwise. See Wikipedia:Non-free content. To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline, as well as the source of the work and copyright information. Note: This tag should not be used for screenshots of free software; use the license tag corresponding to the software's license instead, optionally alongside {{Free screenshot}}. |
