The Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuden series is an action-adventure video game series based on the popular anime and manga Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama. Each installment has been developed and published by Bandai, and have been released only in Japan for the Super Famicom.

[edit] Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuden - Totsugeki-Hen
Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuden - Totsugeki-Hen is the first game in the Super Gokuden series. The game was released on March 24, 1995.[1] Totsugeki-Hen chronicles the adventures of Goku and his adventures through the start of Dragon Ball all the way to the final battle with Piccolo Daimao.
[edit] Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuden - Kakusei-Hen
Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuden - Kakusei-Hen is the second game in the Super Gokuden series. The game was released on September 22, 1995.[2] Kakusei-Hen follows the story of Goku from his fight with Piccolo at the 23rd World Tournament to his final battle with Freeza after the latter had reached the Super Saiyan state.

The character selection is severely limited in the Super Gokuden series. Totsugeki-Hen features only Goku as a playable character, while Kakusei-Hen has available his son Gohan as well.
