Suomi is a Finnish word that most commonly refers to either:
- Finland, a northern European country (written with capital initial letter: Suomi); or
- The Finnish language itself (written with lower-case initial letter in Finnish: suomi or suomen kieli)
In addition, it may mean:
- Suomi-yhtiö, a Finnish insurance company
- The Suomi M-31 SMG, a Finnish submachine gun
- A Finnish surname:
- Juhani Suomi, a controversial scholar of Finland's history
- Incidentally, also the preterite tense or the definite 2nd person singular imperative mood of the Finnish verb suomia, "to flog" - used typically in the figurative rather than literal sense.
- In psychedelic trance culture, shortening for suomisaundi
- Suomirokki, Finnish (language) rock music
- A post-rock band from Chattanooga, Tennessee
- A town in the North Western territories of Temuair in the MMORPG Dark Ages, which was developed by the company Nexon Inc., now Kru Interactive.
