[edit] Production History
Maybe it is worth noting the productions that also have occured in the West End (ie Menier Chocolate Factory?) MikeyB! 11:45, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Desperate Housewives
Perhaps it could be noted (maybe Trivia) that this is also the name of a Desperate Housewives episode?
[edit] Casting
I put the casting info in columns, but if you want to put it in a table, that would be even better. If you don't like it either way, feel free to put it back the way it was. -- Ssilvers 19:11, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, interesting. I'll look at it sometime but I probably won't have much time until next week. I like to look at things and ponder for a while. Maybe others have opinions, which I also like to read.JeanColumbia 20:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- I've been looking at this Cast section, trying to figure out how to show the casts without too much space but clearly. A table, I think, would be too large, long, and maybe more confusing (then there's the problem of where to put the 2008 cast!). Trying this format, (each production separate, columns within) it reads easily to me, but whatever else anyone comes up with, is ok with me, I have no stake here...JeanColumbia 22:21, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Seems like a reasonable solution, unless someone has a better idea. -- Ssilvers 04:44, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Newly added synopsis
The newly added synopsis appears to be direcly lifted (sorry, I can't think of a better word, not intended to insult) from the MTI Shows site synopsis. That site has a copy-right provision, which states, in part: "All materials and content contained in any MTI Site, including without limitation all text, data, images of any kind, audio, video, site design, and software (collectively, “Content”), are the copyrighted property of MTI, or its subsidiaries or affiliated companies and/or third-party owners."
- I did not have time earlier to put this quote from Wikipedia here, but it bears noting and repeating:
"Do not copy text from other websites without a GFDL-compatible license. It will be deleted."JeanColumbia 19:05, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I have accordingly deleted that synopsis and gone back to the previous one.
Should the editor who added the MTI synopsis--or anyone, actually--have permssion to use it, please advise here. (Although it is terribly long and probably gives way too much detail, a judicious and intelligent editing would be called for, in my opinion.) JeanColumbia 13:11, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- The MTI summary is definitely too long. Although the musicals project does not have a specific guideline for the length of synopses, the Film project suggests that 900 should be a readable maximum. The current synopsis is longer than that now, with about 1,200 words, and the MTI summary is far longer. I suggest that the current synopsis is not bad, and if anything, it could be edited to delete a excess verbiage, or incidental matters not essential to an understanding of the plot, and bring it down closer to the recommended 900 words, which would be easier for a reader to wade through. Good job on all your improvements to this article, Jean. -- Ssilvers 21:45, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
