Sunset Drive, locally known as Sunset Drive and Southwest 72nd Street, is an east-west street that runs south of downtown Miami, Florida in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The eastern terminus is Cartagena Plaza (Cartagena Circle) at the edge of the Coral Gables Waterway in the city of Coral Gables. It connects at the circle with Old Cutler Road, Cocoplum Road, LeJeune Road and Ingraham Highway.
From this point west it is Southwest 72nd Street and goes either through Coral Gables or divides it from unincorporated Miami-Dade County, until it crosses Red Road (Southwest 57th Avenue) where it enters the city of South Miami.
Upon crossing US 1 (South Dixie Highway) it is also State Road 986.
It exits the city of South Miami between SW 68th Court and SW 69th Court, where it enters unincorporated Miami-Dade County.[1]
It continues west until it terminates at Southwest 167th Avenue.
