Sunset Coast CLC (also known as Sunset Coast Christian Life Centre) is a Pentecostal Christian church affiliated with the Australian Christian Churches, in Perth, Western Australia. Located on Winton Road within the central business district of Joondalup, Western Australia, the church also has a satellite service every Sunday night at Melville Recreation Center, in Melville. Sunset Coast was planted by Pastors Gerard and Sue Keehan in October 1998, after having founded Hillsong London and served on the leadership team of the Hillsong Church in Sydney. Since then, the church has grown to a membership base of more than 1,600 people and continues to outreach into the Northern and Southern suburbs of Perth on a weekly basis.

[edit] History

Beginning in October 1998, Sunset Coast's first service was held in the Edith Cowan University in Joondalup, Western Australia. From this time, the church has continued to grow and expand until June 2004, when the church purchased its own premises in Joondalup. Sunset Coast has been the launching pad for several people into ministry, from raising homegrown speakers and pastors to supporting the Australian Christian Churches outreach in Japan. Sunset Coast Christian Life Centre maintains an international sphere of influence, supporting many new and established Christian and Christian-based initiatives around the world. The church has also been integral in the Australian Christian Churches mission in Rwanda.[1]

Since 2004, Sunset Coast has expanded to include an additional building, which has been used to support the Sunset Coast Leadership College and children's ministry, and as of 9 September 2007 the church opened a satellite service in Perth's southern suburbs. It is held weekly on Sunday nights at Melville Recreation Center, Melville, Western Australia.
