[edit] Stores
The mall features 122 stores and is anchored by Sears, J.C. Penney and a split-format Macy's occupying two buildings (one was formerly Liberty House, the other previously Weinstock's). An Albertsons used to be located in a strip separate from the main mall but is part of the property. The store was included in a round of closures shortly after Cerberus Capital Management's acquisition in the summer of 2006. Other businesses surrounding the mall that are part of the property include Red Robin, Elephant Bar Restaurant and U.S. Bank.
[edit] Sacramento Capitals
Every summer, the Sunrise Mall was home to the Sacramento Capitals tennis team, which often had guest players such as Andre Agassi and Anna Kournikova. It lost this asset in 2007 as the Capitals moved to nearby Westfield Galleria at Roseville.
