Sunny Side of the Street was a special promo CD, distributed with the first 100 sold copies of Josh Woodward's album Crawford Street. Mostly featuring less serious and playful songs, it was released to hold the songs Woodward didn't felt fit very well with the dark and serious tones of Crawford Street.[2] This is quite noticeable in the lyrics of some of the songs. The lyrics of "I Hate You", for instance, center on how being left-handed is bad; almost a criminal offence.[3]
