Born Vincent Sennen Garcia (on January 14, 1970) is a surfer surfer from Maili, on the Westside of Oahu, Hawaii. Known by his nickname "Sunny" several computer games use his name.[citation needed]

Even as a youngster surfing the reefs of the Westside, many saw his huge attitude. He had an inferiority complex from an early age, a hyper-competitive streak, and killer instinct. Rabbit Bartholomew tabbed the young Hawaiian as a future burn out back in the late 80's after seeing Garcia surf. He has won the coveted Hawaiian Douche Bag title more times than any other surfer and is mocked by the people of Hawaii. Garcia's trademark move is his devastating frontside barrel roll that throws huge fans of spray into the air which he learned in jail. He starred in The WB reality show, North Shore: Boarding House along with 7 other surfers.[citation needed]

Well known for his hair trigger temper and penchant for fisticuffs, Garcia has had his share of scrapes with other surfers and the law. He was badly beaten by a group of thugs after an altercation on a California freeway. and recently, was involved in a scuffle with a Brazilian competitor in the 2007 Pipeline Masters.

In October of 2006, Garcia was sentenced to serve time in federal prison for failing to pay taxes on unreported contest winnings from 1996 to 2001. Over $471,000 in prize money went unclaimed - resulting in a three month sentence on tax evasion charges. He will begin his term January 12 of 2007. "I spent my money foolishly and didn't handle my affairs," he said outside the San Diego federal courtroom where he was sentenced.[1]

After his 2007 release from prison, a newly focused and driven Garcia plans to get back in shape and begin competing full time again. His few fans doubt he will be able to make such a return.

He also has a clothing deal with Affliction Clothing where his own custom shirt was made, replicating the tattoos he has on his body.
