Sunjay (also known as Sanjay and Sunjoy) was the lead singer of the Bangladeshi rock music band Warfaze. The band exploded on the Bangladeshi music scene in 1991 with their self-titled debut album. Sunjoy's distinctive vocals played a large part in the band's success, and the album went on to become one of the biggest sellers in the history of Bangladeshi band music. Sunjay was at his peak form in their second band album Obak Bhalobasha where he perfected his falsetto. He also showed a more melodic range in one of the band's most popular and romantic song Mone Pore, released in a mixed album Dhun in 1997.He was the vocalist of Warfaze up to the album Osamajik. He retired from the band due to personal reason and family reason. It has been rumored that he retired from the band due to illness from excessive pressure in his vocal cord.[citation needed]
