Sunetra Sarker

Sunetra Sarker Corfield (born 1973 in Liverpool) is an English actress.
She has played a wide variety of roles in her career. Her initial success came when she was cast as Nisha Batra in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside from 1988-1990 and then returned in 2000 until 2003.
She also starred in the short-lived regional soap London Bridge. This was followed by her biggest and most noted role as Anji Mittel in No Angels from 2004-2006.
Her next large role was playing the part of Clare Burns in the BBC drama The Chase until the show was pulled after its second series. She can currently be seen in a major role on one of the BBC's longest running series Casualty as Dr Zoe Hanna.
She has made numerous appearances in many other shows and continues to be one of Britain's most popular leading Asian female actors. She is a popular public figure making a number of guest appearances on talk shows over the years. In 2007 she was a contestant on the celebrity version of popular cooking show Masterchef.
Sunetra married Nick Corfield in August 2003, and gave birth to their first child, Noah, on June 9, 2005.
