[edit] About
Sundown is a relatively small, UK-orientated demoparty, aimed at fostering and expanding creative talents and programming skills in the demoscene.
[edit] 2005
The first party was organised by Ruairi Fullam (known in the demoscene as "rc55") to see whether such an event was viable. After consulting members of the UK demo community, the hall was hired, and networking, audio systems and projection were arranged. The event was publicised mainly by word of mouth and demoscene Web sites and managed to attract around 45 visitors. It took place on 9th-11th September 2005.
[edit] 2006
A second event was held on 6th-8th October 2006 at the same venue. A slightly larger number of people attended, including Mark Shuttleworth.
[edit] 2007
Sundown returned this year from the 7-9th September, and the winning production was Route 1066 by the UKscene Allstars.
[edit] 2008
Sundown is set to return in 2008 and will be held on the weekend of the 12th-14th September.
