Sundance 608 was the first of the Sundance Cinemas (a branch in the Sundance Group) to open in the nation (Sundance Kabuki, the San Francisco theater, was open during its remodel, but the grand opening is scheduled for late summer 2007). Sundance 608's grand opening was held on May 11, 2007. It is located in the Hilldale Shopping Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The "608" is a reference to South-Western Wisconsin telephone Area code.
Sundance 608 contains six stadium-seated auditoriums, a cafe, bistro, bar, rooftop bar, and Gallery 608, which sells Sundance-related arts and merchandise as well as artwork produced by local artists.
