Sun Jing was the younger brother of Chinese warlord Sun Jian. Sun Jing became well known for admonishing the attack led by Sun Jian against that of Liu Biao. After the death of Sun Jian, Jing became the adviser to his nephew and Sun Jian's oldest son, Sun Ce. Jing was also ordered to guard the hometown of Kuaiji (會稽) while it was under siege. He was famous for saying "war should not be used to settle a grudge". He was the father of Wu general, Sun Yu.
