Sun Huan was an elite officer serving under Wu who granted the Sun family name by that of Sun Ce. During the Battle of Yi Ling, Sun Huan was made the Commander in Chief but ended up losing most of his generals, such as Xie Jing and Li Yi. Following this, Sun Huan's castle of Yi Ling was then surrounded by the army of Shu. Sun Huan defended the castle until the reinforcements of Shu arrived.
