Sun City Grand, Arizona

Sun City Grand is an age restricted retirement community built by Del Webb located within the corporate limits of Surprise, Arizona. Sun City Grand is the third largest community built by Del Webb built specifically for active adults age 55 years-old and older as well as a percentage of those 45 years-old and older, and is one of only two Sun City communities to be located within the corporate limits of a city within the Phoenix metropolitan area, the other being Sun City Festival in Buckeye, Arizona. Sun City Grand is located next to Sun City West and within 5 miles of the original Sun City.

Sun City West and Sun City Grand are both creations brought about by the success of Sun City and the fact that Sun City had begun to grow outside the limits of its original design. All three properties are Del Webb creations.

Sun City, Sun City West, and Sun City Grand are the first locations in the nation that have a complete relocation package that incorporated the use of mezzanine financing and a reverse mortgage so that a senior citizen could choose a home and move in and convert the mezzanine financing to a reverse mortgage. Prior to this, reverse mortgages were exclusively for owners of existing homes. This package was established in January of 2008. ^[1]

There are four golf courses and two fully equipped physical fitness centers within the community's boundaries.
