From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sun.Star (also written Sun Star) is a major English-language newspaper in the Philippines. The newspaper is based in Cebu City and is the only major national Philippine newspaper not to be based in Metro Manila.

While the newspaper's main base is Cebu City, the Sun.Star also has various editions for different parts of the Philippines, each with content relevant to the area where the Sun.Star edition in question is issued. Other than the main Metro Cebu edition, the Sun.Star has editions for three levels of Philippine administrative groupings:

All editions also carry national content, which is usually the same across all newspaper editions.

The Sun.Star is issued as a tabloid newspaper in Bacolod, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos (as the SOCCSKSARGEN edition), Iloilo, Metro Cebu and Pampanga. It is an exclusively online newspaper for residents of Metro Manila, Pangasinan and Zamboanga City. The General Santos edition of the Sun.Star is issued as a broadsheet on Mondays.
