[edit] NIASOM and related articles

Hi, Sum. I know it is frustrating to try to submit articles here and have them deleted. However, the article and series of redirects you created have been deleted in accord with the Wikipedia:Deletion policy. If you believe the articles have been deleted unjustly, you should submit a request to the Wikipedia:Deletion review. The review will allow you and other editors to debate the merits of having the article here on Wikipedia. HorsePunchKid 2005-12-01 21:10:38Z

No frustration. i only pity the person responsible for taking the decision. I have better things to do than waste my time in this exercise. I wanted to know the way Wikipedia is being built. Gain is mine. If National Insurance Academy of india in its latest form is deleted - either your process is poor or one day you revisit the institution with the respect they deserve.
Wikipedia gladly accepts articles about companies that are well-written, properly wikified, and do not serve as base self-promotion. What has happened with NIASOM is that some contributor or set of contributors has repeated spammed Wikipedia with recreated content, ignoring our efforts to get them to understand why the content is inappropriate. Wikipedia is fundamentally a collaborative process, and when one party resists collaboration, the results are often destructive instead of constructive. Again, I suggest you bring up the topic at deletion review before you conclude that the process is flawed. HorsePunchKid 2005-12-02 21:43:35Z

thanks for the guidance - sum I received a host of requests to rewrite the special features of the unique Govt of india Institution NIA SoM, which was earlier deleted. Trust in its new Avtar, this article is as per wikipedia policies. sum

[edit] Image Tagging Image:NIA.jpg

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:NIA.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] License tagging for Image:Nialloydsbox.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Nialloydsbox.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Nialloydsbox.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Nialloydsbox.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you created this image yourself, please look at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#For image creators, select one of those tags, and add it to the image. To do that, simply go to Image:Nialloydsbox.jpg, click "edit this page", and add the appropriate tag. Be sure to remove the current tag indicating a lack of licensing!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me at User talk:Angr or at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. —Angr 14:21, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:IMG 002.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:IMG 002.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:16, 13 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 21:16, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Irda-logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Irda-logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:47, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
