In the manga, a young girl finds Sumomo. Sumomo immediatally falls in love with Fuyuki Hinata and tries to "kiss" him by wrapping her tongue around him, because she does not know Earth's customs. The young girl's father finds Sumomo, and like Keroro, was converted into a comic book character.
However, in the anime, Sumomo is a pop star. Like the comic book, she does not know Earth's customs, but Natsumi and Fuyuki help her. Sumomo's song at the end of the episode is "Beloved Shooting Star".
