Summit Township covers an area of 60.22 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Holts Summit. It contains seven cemeteries: Bull, Harthill, Link, Meng, Mount Vernon, Stokes and Wallace.
The streams of Cedar Creek, Clifton Creek, Niemans Creek and Turkey Creek run through this township.
