Summerseat is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, in Greater Manchester, England. It lies in the valley of the River Irwell to the north of Bury, along the course of the M66 motorway.
It is popular with visitors, for its picturesque scenery, but also because there is a station on the East Lancashire steam Railway situated in the village. There is also a local Londis store in the village. There are two public houses in Summerseat, The Footballers and The Hamers Arms.
Summerseat is referred to by locals as 'Summy'.
