Sumiyoshi-ikka

The Sumiyoshi-ikka (住吉一家 "Sumiyoshi Family") is an affiliate of the Sumiyoshi-kai yakuza syndicate, based in Tokyo, Japan. Its current leader is Hareaki Fukuda, who is also the kaicho of the Sumiyoshi-kai.

  • 1st: Matsugoro Ito (伊藤 松五郎)
  • 2nd: Naokichi Kuramochi (倉持 直吉)
  • 3rd (1948-1962): Shigesaku Abe (阿部 重作)
  • 4th (1962-1967): Yoshimitsu Sekigami (磧上 義光) who was kaicho of the former Sumiyoshi-kai.
  • 5th (1967-1990): Masao Hori (堀 政夫) who was sosai of Sumiyoshi-rengokai. He was 4th Nakazato (中里) in the Sumiyoshi-ikka.
  • 6th (1991-2005): Shigeo Nishiguchi (西口 茂男) who is sosai of Sumiyoshi-kai. He was 2nd Kogo (向後) in the Sumiyoshi-ikka.
  • 7th (2005-): Hareaki Fukuda (福田 晴瞭) who is 2nd kaicho of Sumiyoshi-kai. He was 2nd kaicho of the Kobayashi-kai (小林会) in the Sumiyoshi-ikka.
