Sumerpur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Hamirpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

As of 2001 India census[1], Sumerpur had a population of 24,656. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Sumerpur has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 47%. In Sumerpur, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
