Sumedang

Sumedang is a town in West Java, Indonesia, approximately 35 km northeast of Bandung.

The town is famous for tahu Sumedang, a local variety of deep fried tofu. a

Sumedang's museum, Prabu Geusan Ulun, houses a collection of traditional Sundanese weaponry, as well as the crown jewels and other finery. It is located on Geusan Ulun Road.

The town is just south of volcanic 1,684 m Mount Tampomas, which is usually climbed from from the village of Cimalaka, 7 km from Sumedang.
