Sultanpur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Raisen district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

As of 2001 India census[2], Sultanpur had a population of 8716. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Sultanpur has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 63%, and female literacy is 50%. In Sultanpur, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age. Sultanpur is very popular due to connectivity with various small villages, There is a Mata Mandir in the outskirts of town.
There are two higher secondary school in sultanpur, including one government school. Recently few schools are doing well which are St. Mary convent school and prince convent school.
Girija Bal Mandir is the oldest private school of the Town.
There was only one MBBS doctor in this town, Named V.K saxena.He tragically dead in a road accident. There are 5 medical stores in sultanpur.
Sultanpur is well connected to bhopal and Raisen distt. Bhopal which is the capital of Madhyapradesh is 70 km from sultanpur. Most of the population speaks Hindi language. Recent local election of Nagar palika was won by Kanhaiyalal Gour. Sultanpur comes under Tehsil Goharganj.
