Royal Highness Muedzul-Lail Kiram was educated in Islamic studies in Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan.
He created a Rajamuda during the coronation of his father the late Sultan Mahakuttah Kiram in 1974. That was confirmed by the late Wazir Ambassador Abraham Rasul, the Ruma Bichara and by Office of the Republic of the Philippines through Malacañang Palace.
