Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Founded in 1996, SDU quickly became one of the nation's prestigious schools, and is named after the former Turkish prime minister Süleyman Demirel.

The language of instruction is English. There are 1150 undergraduates and 15 graduates seeking degrees in Economics, Management, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Translation and Interpreting, Foreign Languages Instruction, Kazakh Language and Literature. The former department is renowned for its outstanding academics, and world class faculty. SDU can be classified as a Kazakh-Turkish University; therefore, many students come from 27 Kazakh-Turkish High Schools located in Kazakhstan's major cities. Some SDU graduates continue their studies abroad in the U.S., U.K, etc. The university has undergraduate programs in the following areas of study:

The University presently has five graduate programmes in Computing System and Software, Mathematics (2), Economics and Management.
