Description

"The Doll Ceremony". 18th century Ukiyo-e woodcut. Japanese print from a book shows three richly dressed women or girls eating and drinking, probably celebrating Hina Matsuri (Girl's Day), as dolls sit in the background. Title and other information based on data written on mount and Richard Lane's Masters of the Japanese print, 1962, pp. 130-134.
