The intro needs to be revised a bit. The introductory sentence, "It is a well-known phenomenon that certain bridges are especially popular for people attempting suicide." is not in an encyclopedic tone. Well-known? --W3stfa11 16:13, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps someone should mention the Gateway Bridge in Brisbane, Australia. It was once quite common for people to stop their cars on the bridge and initiate suicide, until barriers were installed...

Why does this article exist? It seems to be original research, in the sense that the phrase "suicide bridge" is not actually used to refer to anything in reality, and the term is being invented or popularized by this article. --76.224.94.69 (talk) 00:19, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
