Suicide Season is the second album by Bring Me the Horizon, which is set to be released on September 22, 2008.[1] The album is the follow-up album to the band's debut album, Count Your Blessings.
The album has been described by vocalist Oli Sykes as being "more rock than metal. It's heavy though, and sounds a lot more fatter and beefier. We've also done some mellower tracks too." Oli also states that this album will see the band "moving away from the sound" of their first album.[2]
The album features guest appearances from vocalist Sam Carter of Architects as well as Luis Dubuc of The Secret Handshake.[3]
The only confirmed track so far, "No Need for Introductions, I've Read About Girls Like You on the Back of Toilet Doors", is Oli's way of relieving the stress of the charges pressed against him at the Nottingham Rock City on April 8, 2007. Oli states that "...it's only 30 seconds long and was a great way just to relieve my stress over everything that happened. I really got my anger out on it!"[4]
[edit] Background information
Written and recorded in the isolation of Arboga, vocalist Oli Sykes stated that "We recorded Count Your Blessings in the middle of Birmingham and it was very easy to get distracted. Arboga is a village with nothing in it apart from a tiny shop and that was it. We actually lived at the studio so it meant we could all just focus on the music. Fredrik was a cool guy, and he taught us how to do stuff, so at night after he'd gone home we'd still be recording the album."[5]
