Suhotra Dasa

Suhotra Dasa (formerly known as Suhotra Swami, birth name Roger Terrance Crowley) (December 11, 1950, Holyoke, Massachusetts - April 8, 2007, Mayapur, India) was a disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and a retired guru within the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (commonly known as 'the Hare Krishnas' or ISKCON).[citation needed]
Suhotra became a member of ISKCON in October or November of 1970 when he joined the ISKCON temple in Boston, USA. In 1971 he was initiated by Srila Prabhupada. Suhotra was a member of Radha Damodara Travelling Sankirtan Party and then in Bhaktivedanta Book Trust Library Party.[citation needed]
He was a Governing Body Commission member for 12 years (he was responsible for preaching in Norway, Finland, Benelux, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece) and managed to be GBC Chairman in 1996.[citation needed]
He knew about Vedanta philosophy and since March 2003 he was a member of Shastric Advisory Council (SAC).[citation needed]
