In the Tidewater, Va, area during the early 70’s, Sugarloaf got a lot of FM air play with their Green Eyed Lady song. But it was the album cut “Tongue In Cheek” that was the real hit at the parties, especially if you had the long version. Today our local classic rock station spins Green Eyed Lady on a regular basis, but it’s almost impossible to hear Tongue In Cheek. In fact, the DJ’s are not old enough to remember it. Quite a shame because to me it’s their best effort.
