[edit] MediaWiki site for Sugar House Comm. Council

Taking a cue from the work that the Wikipedians have done for the Sugar House article, I've established a MediaWiki-driven site for the Sugar House Community Council.

http://www.sugarhousecouncil.com

I welcome responsible contributions to this nacent site and hope that it becomes a valuable resource for the Sugar House neighborhood. Help in its administration would be greatly appreciated.

(I removed a link to SugarHouseLife.com. It is a well meaning web site, but it is a commercial endeavor designed to drive traffic to some real-estate agents.)

[edit] Miscellaneous

I just removed a remark calling 1980s Sugar House "the epitome of inner-city struggles." Now I live in and love Sugar House, but who in the world could seriously compare us to the Lower East Side or Compton? Inappropriatecontent 22:46, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Current Events

Should more be added concerning the recent events in the sugarhouse area? Notably the eviction of the stores and such along the granite furniture block for renovation and restoration of the building. Since this is a concern to those of us who are regulars at Sugarhouse Coffee and has a significant impact on what sugarhouse will become. Seeing that the granite furniture block with all the little stores has a long history in the area. This has been a particular point of interest to myself. Azander

[edit] Broken Link Removed

Looks like SugarHouseTrolley.org is now gone, so I have removed the link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jwpwiki (talk • contribs) 19:57, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
