Sugrue is a surname that originates from Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. Very prevalent in the towns Cahirciveen, Portmagee, Water Ville, Castle Island, and in the island of Valencia off the coast of Portmagee. All of these towns are located in County Kerry, Ireland
Famous Sugrues' include James Sugrue the world renowned greyhound owner and lab manager. And his brother Kevin Sugrue (married to Keelin Sugrue nee Deenihan), an insurance magnate based on the South Mall in Cork City, Ireland. Brian Sugrue is a well known Irish Barrister, specialising in Dog Law and related matters.
