Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center (SLISC) is the Texas Gulf Coast's only dual rink ice skating facility. In addition to two full size sheets of ice, the Center features a full service pro shop and multiple entertainment options.
Located just minutes from downtown Houston, Texas, Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center has facilities for ice skating, ice hockey, figure skating and parties. SLISC features a pro shop, multiple entertainment options, activity and hospitality centers, and a lively schedule of classes and special events for skaters of all ages. It is also the official practice facility to the AHL Calder Cup Champion Houston Aeros hockey team.
Sugar Land Ice & Sports operates year round, 7 days a week, closing only for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. It is home to 3 youth travel associations, 4 adult leagues, in-house youth hockey, LTS, and the Houston Ice Theatre Skaters. The rink is also home to the Texas Gulf Coast Figure Skating Club and is often used by the Houston Figure Skating Club for special events.
Sugar Land Ice is managed by Rink Management Services Corporation, the largest ice rink management company in the United States. SLISC has 22 full time or part time staff members, as well as 8 in-house hockey coaches and 21 full or part time figure skating coaches.
