Talk:Suffocation (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This idiot Frank "Fahker" Bibber has been claiming to be their drummer for a while now on various forums. The Band have never commented on it, and have played plenty of concerts with Mike Smith since this guy has been claiming to be their drummer. The upcoming tour again has Mike Smith on drums and this Bibber guy is now even editing the wiki page.
Please explain why they are the most plagiarized? The statement is made, with very little backing / explaination. --- Isn't it obvious listening to current Death Metal and listening current musicians speak about Suffocation?
Its stated in the book Choosing Death: the improbable history of death metal and grindcore. Basically it means many bands have based their style around very similar techniques and song writing as them (see half of Unique leaders rooster)
I changed technical death to Brutal Death, which is how they are described in other parts of the site.
"They fused the predominant rhythmic styles of early death metal with complex song structures, and started a new subgenre of death metal known as "brutal death metal." umm, i think there were several bands responsible for the creation of brutal death metal, not just suffocation. could someone clear this up?
[edit] Split/Reform
The article says that they reformed for 2004's Souls to Deny, but it doesn't mention anything about their splitting up beforehand. Can someone who knows about the band flesh the biography out a bit more to include that stuff?
Could somebody change brutal death metal off and put only death metal and technical? Suffocation has nothing to do with brutal death metal, maybe little style of it but not so much to be in brutal scene, more just death metal —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.114.99.34 (talk) 20:16, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Self titled album
if you look at the little monster in the band logo on the s/t album you can see that its being pierced from within like the album, maybe it should be added or something for a trivia section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.13.55.74 (talk) 12:07, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
