Sue Ellery is a current Australian Labor Party MP serving the role of Minister for Child Protection; Communities; Women's Interests; Seniors and Volunteering in the state of Western Australia. He is the current Member for the South Metropolitan.
She joined the Australian Labor Party, whilst she was at the University of Western Australia in 1982. She was the National women's officer of the-then Australian Union of Students from 1983-84.
In 2001, she was elected to parliament as the member for the south metropolitan. She chaired a review of the Disability Services Act in 2002.
On March 2, 2007 she was sworn in as Minister for Child Protection; Communities; Women's Interests; Seniors & Volunteering
