[edit] Enterprise Audit Shell
The original developer of sudosh and the now-developer of EAS has been inserting that EAS is the rename and continuation of sudosh. This is not only a violation of wikipedia:vanity, but the additions are unverifiable and not worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. The trouble is that there is not sufficient external recognition of the "new" project for there to be any way to verify that the userbase and any other developers have accepted the change and won't keep using and improving sudosh, since it's an open source project. The developer, Dhanks and various IP addresses, has asserted that the AfD on EAS determined that the information should be merged into this article. This is untrue, as a single editor suggested this but everyone else voted delete—hardly the claimed support for merging. (Here is his assertion, here is my correcting his misinterpretation of the deletion vote and policy rationale for opposing his edits.)
However, digging has shown that there has been at least an announcement of the change by Dhanks. I couldn't find any user reactions though. I will be leaving the mention of EAS in the article but I will be editing it to reflect these two facts. A revert to the version preferred by Dhanks easily qualifies as spam under the external links and vanity policies and can be reverted on sight. — Saxifrage ✎ 19:20, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
— Umm, why is there a link to Sarbanes-Oxley here? Donald Hosek 23:21, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- User:Dhanks put that in when he was edit-warring to keep Enterprise Audit Shell in the article. Thanks for removing it. — Saxifrage ✎ 23:32, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- The link for Sarbanes-Oxley has been on the Sudosh page for a very long-time, predating EAS announcements. Sudosh is an open-source tool geared towards businesses that have to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. Saxifrage is severely mistaken on the direction and background of Sudosh. 100% of his edits have been to revert or dispute content. Check out his editting history, it extends way beyond this article. In general he's walking the fine line of staying within Wikipedia policy, but has crossed the line of annoying other editors and simply stirs up edit wars and disputes. - My mistake. Dhanks, please assume good faith—it's the rules. You don't understand policy, you're just misquoting an admin. — Saxifrage ✎ 06:08, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

sudosh is an abandoned project. I have revived it as sudosh2, and have a stable release. Technicalsquash (talk) 17:14, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Official response
Sudosh is the only branch. EAS no longer exists and is no longer available. Dhanks 23:56, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
