Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome

Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome also widely known as SSDS, is an experimental punk band which was formed in 2002 in Reseda, California.

History

While going to Birmingham High School in early 2002, Keyboardist Michael Sherer and guitarist Aaron Eiernman had very different musical tastes than your average high schooler. They decided to form a band that no one else had ever done before. They wanted to play strange music with a comedic twist to the sound. And at the same time they wanted to shock the crowd with their strange appearance, and stage presence. With this in mind, the two musicians formed SSDS.

SSDS is about having fun, and just not caring what anyone thinks. We do what we do because we have fun. This is who we are, so lets have a good time.

Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome (SSDS) is the most common killer of inhalant abusers. A victim may be trying inhalants for the first time, or may have tried them any number of times in the past. In fact, 22% of inhalant abusers who died of SSDS had no history of previous inhalant abuse. SSDS occurs when an abuser is surprised or startled while sniffing or huffing. Often, this occurs when a parent or other authority figure finds the person inhaling. An especially exciting or frightening hallucination could also trigger SSDS.
