Sudarshan Agarwal

Sudarshan Agarwal (born June 19, 1931[1]) has been the Governor of Sikkim since October 2007.[2]

Sudarshan Agarwal was born in Ludhiana, and he is a first class Law Graduate. He served as a Member of the National Human Rights Commission for three years as a Judge of the Supreme Court. From 1981 to 1993, he was Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha.[1]

Agarwal became Governor of Uttrakhand in January 2003.[1][2][3] He was appointed as Governor of Sikkim on August 19, 2007,[4] left office as Governor of Uttrakhand on October 22, 2007,[3] and was sworn in as Governor of Sikkim on October 25.[2]
