[edit] Purpose
My proposed purpose is to substitute common templates by adding {{subst:}} to the Wiki code. The suggested benefits of replacing these templates with substituted versions is:
- Establishes regularity between the messages left by the templates and the user signing them.
- Reduces server load because the server need not link back to the template every time the page is viewed.
- Diminishes the impact of vandalism because substituted templates will not be affected if the original is vandalised.
