Talk:Subway (underpass)

[edit] Renamed
Renamed from Subway (passageway) as "passageway" -- which in British English usually refers to a corridor or hallway -- is not very apt here.
[edit] Prohibition, not warning
The sign in the second image is not, as previously indicated, a warning (which would be a red-bordered triangle) but a prohibition (red-bordered circle). The "Weak subway" part is (by virtue of its rectangular shape) information. -- Picapica 22:19, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] California
For the American definintion, I chose both an official (CalTrans) and an unofficial (Usenet post from June 25, 1998, Message ID 4ohk1.19555$dn.17141012@news.rdc2.occa.home.com ) citation for the term. I'm not sure, though, if the term is currently used. Mapsax 20:55, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
