[edit] Removals

I've removed the River Ken, as I can find no reference to this. I've also removed the River Holbourne, as this is a synonym for the upper reaches of the River Fleet. The Langbourne appears to be an alleged river - for which no proof has ever been found. I've created an article accordingly, but this may need correcting if anyone can find a better reference somewhere. Thanks, Ian Cairns 00:50, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The River Ken may have been a joke reference to a certain world famous (in London) unrecontructed Trotskyite. -- RHaworth 09:52, 2005 Jan 22 (UTC)

[edit] Can We Include

Can we include river underground in Greater London, there are some wonderful examples? -- Hugh Petrie

  • Well - let's have the examples then. -- RHaworth 13:24, 2005 Mar 17 (UTC)

[edit] Possibly Add

I found this at http://www.wildtrout.org/WTT/library/features/lostlondon.asp (which is in the External links list):

(needs rewording to avoid CopyVio) the Hackney Brook which entered the Lea, and the little Brent, running through Ealing, Perivale, Greenford and Brentford.

Reworded for Lea now, plus Hackney Brook article added. Tarquin Binary 11:56, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sutton web site

The London Borough of Sutton external link has gone dead so I have removed it from the article and stored its address here in case it comes to life again. this article (RJP 10:12, 1 August 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Verb

Does anyone know if there is a verb for "to make a river subterranean?" I'm translating another article and the verb figures quite heavily. Thanks. -Oreo Priest 09:47, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

to culvert? (better late than never) Pterre (talk) 21:49, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
