Subways in South Korea

Rapid transit subways operate in South Korea's four largest cities, with two more cities currently building their own systems:
- Seoul - Seoul Metropolitan Subway (11 lines + 2 under construction)
- Busan - Busan Subway (3 lines + 1 under construction)
- Daegu - Daegu Metropolitan Subway (2 lines + 1 planned)
- Incheon - Incheon Subway (1 line integrated with the Seoul subway system + other lines planned)
- Gwangju - Gwangju Subway (1 line partially open)
- Daejeon - Daejeon Subway (1 line partially open)

- Seoul
- Korail operates a part of Line 1, 3 and 4, Bundang Line, and Yongsan-Deokso Line
- Seoul Metro operates Line 2, and a part of Line 1, 3, 4
- Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation operates Line 5, 6, 7, and 8
- Busan
- Busan Transportation Corporation operates whole subway system and plans bus route.
- Daegu
- Daegu Metropolitan Subway Corporation operates whole subway system.
- Incheon
- Incheon Rapid Transit Corporation operates whole subway system.
- Gwangju
- Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation operates whole subway system.
- Daejeon
- Daejeon Express Transit Corporation operates whole subway system.
