Subex ( formerly Subex Azure Limited ) is an information technology company providing a suite of Operations Support Systems (OSS) solutions for telecom operators.Subex Azure's customers include 32 of the world's 50 largest telecom operators by revenue. The company has more than 150 installations in over 60 countries [1].

Following a string of acquisitions of both products as well as companies, Subex Azure has emerged as one of the few successful software product companies amidst a sea of service businesses from India.

Earlier know as Subex Systems, Subash Menon started the company in 1992 with a loan of Rs 20,000 from his boss. Initially, it positioned itself as a telecom hardware integrator. The name Subex was derived from Subash and Alex (Alex P.J was the co-founder who later left the company in 2004).In 1999, Subex’s focus switched to making telecom softwares [2].


Subex's software portfolio powers the ROC and its best-in-class solutions enable new service creation, subscriber-centric fulfillment, provisioning automation, revenue assurance & cost management, data integrity management, fraud management and interconnect/interparty settlement.
